Pittsburgh Lithuanian School

The Pittsburgh Lithuanian School is a 501c3 non-profit which promotes the Lithuanian language, culture, and history in Western Pennsylvania through Lithuanian language, history and culture classes for children and adults. The School also maintains a Lithuanian research library and an archive of the Lithuanian experience in Western Pennsylvania.

The children’s Lithuanian language and cultural classes are for ages preschool through 8th grade. The children are taught music, language arts, history and dance. We have children from both Lithuanian and English speaking households. Classes are taught in both languages.

The Pittsburgh Lithuanian School is a 501c3 educational non-profit established in 2011 to preserve and promote the Lithuanian language, culture, history and experience in Western Pennsylvania. The school sponsors classes for children and adults as well as maintains a research library and an archive of the Lithuanian experience in Western Pennsylvania.

“The History of Lithuania, Revised 2nd Edition” – This book concisely covers Lithuania’s entire history from its beginnings through 2004, and includes many maps and illustrations.

“Fighters for Freedom, 2nd Edition” – A factual, first-hand account of the activities of the armed resistance movement in Lithuania during the first three years of Russian occupation (1944-47).

Brochures

“Lithuanian Educational Council” – A brochure describing the mission and activities of the Lithuanian Educational Council with which the Pittsburgh Lithuanian School is affiliated.
